SAT-SAR
Seattle & Tacoma Search & Rescue Training Unit
Radio Operator Unit
SAT-SAR organization is a Search & Rescue, as well as an Emergency Disaster Response Unit. If you know how to use a chain saw, work Amateur Radio's, Climber, EMT or First Aide or manager; then we can use you. There are no classes, no politics, no CYA Federal courses. In the event of a National Disaster, we will need you. We DO NOT care if you are FEMA certified. We have taken those courses and they have little to no value for a real disaster. We are not interested in law suit prevention, we are interested in saving lives, without the political hoops, we could care less what you do or do not have on your resume. Remember Katrina ? Most of those who failed so miserably, had Master Degree's.......
Mandatory to be a SAT-SAR member.
